Felicity Jones
Meet fashion-savvy new girl on the block, Felicity Jones. I first noticed the 28-year-old British actress when she starred in the rom-com, Chalet Girl last March. However, even before the popular chick flick starring Ed Westwick, Felicity was making a name for herself in the world of Hollywood, winning a Special Jury Prize (Dramatic) at the Sundance Film Festival last year for her performance in Drake Doremus's film, Like Crazy. She also received the New Hollywood Award for her performance in the film at the 2011 Hollywood Film Awards. Amazingly, Felicity did her own hair and make-up and wore all her own clothes for the low-budget film, which is to be released in the UK this week (27th January). Not only has Felicity proved she is extremely adept at costume drama and contemporary romantic comedy, but she has also become the one to watch when it comes to fashion.

Felicity has been named the 'New Brit of Tinseltown' |
Felicity has been on every magazine's style radar since her laidback but immaculate red carpet choices caught the eye of Burbery chief creative officer, Christopher Bailey, who cast her in the brand's Autumn/Winter 2011 advertising campaign alongside top-models Cara Delevingne, Edie Campbell and Jourdan Dunn. Felicity is now a regular in the style spotlight, having been invited alongside Hollywood starlet Scarlett Johannsson to Dolce and Gabbana's Spring/Summer 2012 show in Milan and being given the honour of being the first to debut their new collection on the red carpet. The designers at Dolce and Gabbana have reportedly said that Felicity represents: "a heady mix of sensuality, confidence and beauty." They went on to say that: "Felicity Jones offers a sense of divine contradiction. Classically beautiful yet modern in attitude, her audacious gaze is impossible to ignore." Their obvious admiration for the star's appearance and flair for fashion made them decide to cast her as the new face of Dolce and Gabanna Beauty, with her first advert being for their Kohl collection, released this month.

The brunette beauty's first ad for Dolce and Gabbana |
I love Felicity's style because it's classic and stylish yet with a hint of quirky. She definitely exudes that Parisian chic look, with her Audrey-esque fringe and love of vintage. Here are some of my favourite looks of hers!
Felicity went minimalist chic at the BAFTA Awards Season Tea Party in LA last week in a nude figure-hugging shift by Dolce & Gabbana's Spring 2012 collection. The high neck line and A-line hem oozes sophistication and her colour-coordinating envelope clutch and chunky strappy shoes match perfectly. I think there is definitely a feel of 1950's glamour in her simple but elegant dress. I love the kohl-rimmed eyes paired with pretty pink lips and her sleek chocolate locks with that enviable fringe.
Felicity stunned in another gorgeous Dolce and Gabbana creation at the National Board of Review Gala Awards earlier this month, where she bagged the Breakthrough award for her film Like Crazy. The dress is so dramatic and exudes sex appeal yet in a classy way, with the sheer bodice. I love the whole vampy feel of the look- her combination of dark makeup with a red lip and slightly unkempt hair is stunning and her patent “Halte” ankle strap pumps by Christian Louboutin compliment the dress well.
Felicity wowed at the Golden Globes Awards party also this month, in this white Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 gown. The embellished lattice detail at the top of the dress is just the perfect mixture of playful and ladylike, and I love her studded box clutch and flawless makeup. I also love that she can pull off the same would-be laidback hairstyle again and again but still look fresh, original and glam.
Felicity wowed in this beautiful sparkling Valentino Spring 2012 dress at the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala in LA. She chose to pair her fairy-tale-pretty dress which had a nude sheer embellished overlay with nude Brian Atwood ‘Goldly’ T-bar peep-toes. It makes a refreshing change to see her fringe off her face in this half-up curly style.
I absolutely adore this ultra girly, super-cute look with an almost urban edge. Felicity channelled a Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 ensemble and looked like she'd stepped fresh off the runway at the Hollywood Reporter's Annual Reception in LA in november. Felicity teamed her beige striped top with leather pocket detail and crochet black Peter Pan collar with this patent-look striped A-line skirt with oversized outer pockets. The look suits Felicity's modern/retro style perfectly- the shape of the skirt is eye-catching and has a 21st century feel while the sweet blouse feels more dated- in a good way. She completed the stand-out ensemble with simple black pumps, glossy lips and her trademark wispy bangs and kohl rimmed eyes.
Felicity made serious column inches when she was asked to model this fab Dolce and Gabbana S/S'12 frock for the brand at the 'Like Crazy' premiere in New York. The organza aubergine-print sheath dress is the perfect mix of feminine and sexy and unique and daring. Felicity accessorized the dress with Dolce & Gabbana Fine Jewellery in the form of yellow gold and ruby earrings and patent Brian Atwood Zenith pumps with delicate ankle straps.
